Genomics offer powerful tools for managing rare and endangered species. I have previously applied genetic tools to detect patterns of gene flow among, as well as inform the management of, wildlife populations. My most relevant work involved applying neutral genetic markers to trumpeter swans to characterize genetic structure across their range, as well as detect levels of genetic diversity in managed populations.
